Favorite Google Home Features

We currently have four Google Minis throughout a few rooms in our small one bedroom city apartment. From Black Fridays to Spotify giveaways, I've managed to hoard a good amount of these little devices over the past year for very low cost. We have one in the living room, the kitchen, the bedroom, and lastly in our bathroom—along with 3 unopened to spare. So if Google is indeed actively listening, they've heard it all. And that's fine by me.

Moving from room to room and seamlessly interacting with Google assistant is absolutely fantastic. There are a ton of really cool features that may not be so obvious. I'll dig into a few of my favorite features below.

Multi-room synchronous music and audio

The ability to listen to the same song from any room is an amazing experience. No longer do you need to be tethered to your headphones to benefit from a mobile music experience. Having multiple Google Home devices allows you to fill your rooms with music simultaneously and seamlessly.

Using the Google Home app allows you to create groups for your various Google Home enabled devices. Once a group is created, you can play music across all the devices within that group.

Broadcasting across all devices

Again, having multiple Google Home enabled devices throughout your home allows for some cool features. One of them is being able to use your devices as an intercom system for broadcasting messages.

Learning Angular 7

I've finally taken the plunge to dedicate some time and effort to officially learning Angular. Due to the low cost and at your own pace style of learning, I decided to go ahead and give Udemy a try. After a bit of research and previewing a few courses, I settled on Angular 7 (formerly Angular 2) - The Complete Guide . The course has great reviews and ratings so that certainly helped ease my mind in pulling the trigger. Having a syllabus with an overview of the different topics, lesson plans, and milestones provides the structure I need. Hmm... so many options. Which course to choose? The content so far seems fresh and lessons are easy to follow. When it comes to Angular and it's frequent releases and updates, many of the courses out there can go stale with broken and outdated information. Gmail Tips: Cleaning up your inbox

Ever feel the need to clear out all of your unread e-mails in Gmail? I can't be the only one. Sometimes when everything in life seems out in order, it can be rewarding to get that unread count down to zero. As simple and intuitive Gmail can be, the options to organize and clean out those piles of unwanted, unread messages is not so obvious. Clearing out all unread e-mails ONLY in your primary inbox Gmail nicely splits your inbox into 3 groups: primary, social, and promotions. Social and promotions usually get filled up quick with junk mail that may or may not be useful. Thankfully those items our out of sight. It's the primary inbox that I'm usually concerned about keeping tidy. The power is within the search box. Type  in: category:primary is:unread  into the search box to list out all of the unread e-mails in your primary inbox. Then from there you can delete all or mark as unread using the selector. Boom.
