I've finally taken the plunge to dedicate some time and effort to officially learning Angular. Due to the low cost and at your own pace style of learning, I decided to go ahead and give Udemy a try. After a bit of research and previewing a few courses, I settled on Angular 7 (formerly Angular 2) - The Complete Guide. The course has great reviews and ratings so that certainly helped ease my mind in pulling the trigger. Having a syllabus with an overview of the different topics, lesson plans, and milestones provides the structure I need.
The content so far seems fresh and lessons are easy to follow. When it comes to Angular and it's frequent releases and updates, many of the courses out there can go stale with broken and outdated information. Learning a new framework is hard enough so dealing with inconsistencies and bug riddled coding assignments makes learning that more challenging. Thankfully, that doesn't appear to be the case with this course.
Max, the instructor, does a great job at explaining and breaking up the content into manageable chunks of lessons and information. With so many releases since Angular 2, he's managed to refactor the lessons and update the course materials along the way. He does a great job of explaining high level concepts and digging deeper as needed. By providing examples and code as you go style of learning, the points really hit home and allow you to apply what you learn along the way. The course will not serve as the ultimate one stop shop for learning Angular, however it can be a great tool and guide in your personal journey to understanding and mastering the framework.
In combination with this course, the official Angular documentations, and the Angular community - I'll be speaking Angular in no time. You can too. Be sure to follow my journey along the way.
